Scrooge The Panto

Parish Players performed "Scrooge The Panto" to packed houses. It was directed by Peri Kennedy and Stella Scotchings Smith, both of whom were directing for the first time. The parts of Tiny Tim and Scrooge were also played by newcomers, Connor Smith and Richard Broughton, Pete Smith played the traditional dame Jan Butty and Roy Perryment with Gus Litster provided the slapstick as the comedy duo Do and Nut. The action was set in Scrooge's sweet factory which provided a colourful backdrop for the story to unfold and the live musical accompaniment for which Parish Players is well known was provided by The Rob Lever Trio. Our chosen charity was Home Start Merton to whom we donated £1000.
