Review

How nice it was to see such splendid support for the Players contribution to our Festival. It is not good to dwell in the past but it does all of us good to remind ourselves sometimes of events which helped to shape our present society. In Merton Medley we were given an entertaining evening of nicely contrasted items connected with Merton's past (some of them were quite instructive) which were put over with enthusiasm. I shall not mention individuals because everyone clearly gave of their best. I am only sorry that the performance was on just one night — perhaps it could be repeated sometime so that those who missed it have a chance to catch up. May I suggest that the players think about a full length performance of Murder in the Cathedral — perhaps in church as part of next year's Merton Festival?
